Biography
Driven by dreams, Marieke Ruessink wrote and recorded the three songs on her debut EP (released in September of 2022) in the soft twilight in the woods near Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Marieke was inspired by artists such as Agnes Obel, Sumie, and Sheryl Crow; and her music reflects these influences. Marieke’s serene voice is framed by her own piano accompaniment; resulting in intimate, minimal, and cinematic songs (think indie film soundtrack) that take you on an unexpectedly thought provoking emotional journey that you are not likely to forget. There is a new star in the heavens!

Biografie
Met haar intieme en filmische muziek neemt Marieke Ruessink je met haar serene stemgeluid mee, meanderend, van gevoel naar gevoel. Geïnspireerd door muzikanten als Agnes Obel, Sumie en Sheryl Crow werkte Ruessink in 2021 aan haar nieuwe songs. Gedreven door dromen nam ze haar eerste songs zelf op met alleen zang en piano in de zachte schemering in de bossen bij Nijmegen. In 2022 bracht Ruessink haar songs naar het daglicht, om je te laten dromen met je ogen open.
